Welcome to Undertree
The name Undertree comes from the moments of calm I’ve found sitting beneath a tree, grounded, peaceful, and protected. It’s a place where the world softens and my senses settle, where I can return to myself. It took me a long time to rediscover this ability to slow down and truly be present. I believe we all deserve a space like that—a space to reconnect with our bodies, our emotions, and a steadier, more balanced mind. And I want to share with you that this reconnection is possible, even when trauma has shaped your story.
More About me
My name is Keyu (Kay). I am a Registered Psychotherapist with a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology, and I offer therapy in both English and Mandarin. I support individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, stress, self-esteem challenges, relationship difficulties, and moments of personal growth.
Your emotions matter, and so does the way you understand and navigate them. If you’re feeling overwhelmed by feelings you can’t quite make sense of or stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, I’m here to offer a safe, grounded and compassionate space to explore what’s happening beneath the surface. Together, we’ll create a personalized approach that aligns with your unique needs and goals.
My approach is holistic, trauma-informed, and centered on you. I integrate EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), CBT, Narrative Therapy, mindfulness, and somatic-based approaches to help you reconnect with your emotions, your body, your memories, and your inner resilience.
My own experiences navigating trauma, anxiety, and depression have shaped the way I understand this work. They allow me to meet you with deeper empathy, knowing how challenging, and how meaningful the healing process can be.
As a first-generation immigrant, I understand how cultural identity, family dynamics, and sense of belonging shape who we are. This part of my journey guides how I show up in therapy, with curiosity, empathy, and deep respect for your lived experience.
In addition to my psychotherapy work, I am also a certified yoga instructor and am passionate about integrating mindfulness and grounding techniques to help clients regulate their emotional and neurological systems. I believe deeply in the mind-body connection, and that by reconnecting with both, we can foster greater self-awareness, healing, and meaningful growth.
Healing isn’t linear, but it becomes possible when you don’t have to walk it alone. Together, we’ll create a personalized approach that aligns with your unique needs and goals. My intention is to walk alongside you as you make sense of your experiences, feel more anchored and supported as you move through your everyday experiences.
